If you like online racing games, you’re going to LOVE Highway Racer 2. It’s a racing game where your main objective is to speed through highway traffic dodging vehicles and avoid hitting traffic.
The game comes with 5 insane modes to choose from which are:

The game gives you the opportunity to fine tune your vehicle in the garage section. When you visit the garage, you have 13 purchasable and upgradable vehicles to choose from which are:

Highway Racer 2 Garage
In the garage section it’s quite the same as the Burnout Drift Hunter game, you can customize your car, modifying both visual tuning and performance.
Upgradable parts of the car are:
- Paint customization; paint your car in any colour with 9 types of paint (orange, white, black, red, blue, sky blue, purple, pink and green)
- Tires/Rim
- Transmission; In transmission, you have 6 features which are Front Camber (inward or outward tilt of front tires), Rear Camber (inward or outward tilt of rear tires), Front suspension force, Rear suspension force, Front suspension and Rear suspension.
- Engine
- Spray; you get the opportunity to design either the front, back, left or right part of the vehicle or you can spray all parts depending on your preference.
- Rear Spoiler; designed to reduce air drag and
- Led underbody car light; with different colours to choose from (red, blue, green, yellow, orange, white and black).
You also get to change headlight colour and wheel smoke colours.
When prepping a car, its overall performance is displayed at the top left of your screen which displays the level of speed, handling and brake.
Highway Racer 2 HUD
Highway Racer 2 Heads-Up Display (HUD) includes:
- Speed (displayed on the top right)
- Distance (displayed on the top right)
- Score (displayed on the top left?
- Camera (displayed on the top right)
- High speed (displayed on the top right)
- Combo (displayed on the top left)
Highway Racer 2 Gameplay
The game provides you with 3 thrilling scenes to choose from which are:
- Sunny,
- Night and
- Rainy scenes.
Also, the game has a special feature called the draw distance feature which enables the camera to view further making you see the road ahead of you.
One Way
In this mode, all vehicles move in one direction. Speed down busy roads and avoid accidents and earn $100+ on every successful near pass. Be careful cause when your vehicle crashes, you lose the race.
Two Way
In this mode, vehicles go in both directions so try your best to maneuver through the double way traffic. Also driving in the wrong lane earns you double coins so it’s left for you to take the risk and earn higher reward.
Time Attack
In this mode, your main objective is to beat the clock. All you have to do is keep your speed up and win the race before time runs out. Clock countdown is displayed on the top left below the scoreboard.
Speed Bomb
Now this mode is interesting and is my favourite because a bomb is attached to your vehicle and all you have to do is make sure it doesn’t go kaboom. Take note that if you hit any vehicle, bomb health reduces and if your speed reduces, bomb health reduces. So try your best to keep up your speed.
Multiplayer (1v1 Overtake)
In this online multiplayer mode, a player can choose either to host a room or join an existing room. Before you host or join a room, you’ll have to create your player name and login to the server.
When hosting, you get to choose a scene, create room number and wait for your opponent to join in order to begin the race. On the other hand, joining an existing room means another player has already created the room and you are joining the room to race.
